The Buffaloes were playing their fourth game in 10 day, against a Siddal team who were top of the table. Buffaloes Coach Steve Gill made a few changes to the team that beat Kippax, bringing back half back pairing Stevie Suddards and Ben Dean.
The game started with both sides testing out each other out, trying to find a gap in the defence.
The Buffaloes were first to find the hole, when in the 11th minute, prop Sam Nicholls burst through the Siddal defence to score a try with Stevie Suddards converting the Try to make the score 6-0.
Six minutes later, Siddal opened their scoring, when loose forward Thomas Hirst came charging on to the ball and went through the buffaloes defence; Stand Off Kyle Ackroyd converted the try, levelling the scores at 6-6.
In the 25th Minute, Man of the Match, Liam Copland, went on a searching run, beating four defenders on his way to touching down next to the posts, Suddards, again adding the extras to give the Buffaloes the lead 12-6.
Three minutes later Siddal were in again when Winger Dominic Booth, catching the Buffaloes defence unawares, went over for an unconverted try, narrowing the lead to 12-10.
Six minutes from the break, Second rower, Alex Brier, came steaming on to a short pass from Ben Dean, for a try with Suddards again converting, making the score 18-10.
On the stroke of half time Copland broke the Siddal defence again, and this time put Matty Harding through for him to score unopposed next to the posts, with Suddards being successful with the conversion againmaking the half time score 24-10.
Five minutes after the restart, Siddal thought they were in again, following a controversial decision by the referee, Matthew Best broke free, kicked the ball on and the bounce meant that he couldn’t gather in the spinning ball for a certain try.
In the 51st minute, Ayden Webster was in support as Dean, chipped the defence and gathered in his own kick, swiftly passing the ball on to Webster for him to score a try, converted successfully by Suddards. Making the score 30-10.
In the 61st minute some expansive play by the Siddal team, drew the Bramley defence to their left hand side, Siddal switched the ball back to the right and Full back Tom Brook was over unopposed, with Ackroyd adding the extras, narrowing the lead to 30-16.
In the 68th Minute, Ryan Campbell burst through the defence for an unconverted try, extending the score to 34-16.
Seven minutes from time the winger, Best, took advantage of some poor defence, from the tiring Buffaloes, for a converted try, with Ackroyd again on target, making the score 34-22.
The remainder of the game saw the Siddal side trying to out muscle the tiring Buffaloes player, but the Buffaloes rallied and kept them from scoring again.
After the referee blew for time, Siddal winger Booth approached the referee and was dismissed from the field for using Foul and Abusive language towards the official.
Game Breaker: Sam Nicholls tackle on Siddal winger Matthew Best, after racing back 40 metres to take the speed winger out of player, rallied the tiring Bramley team.
